Dog Leashes

Leather Dog Leashes

We start our leather dog leashes from the full side of vegetable tanned tooling leather cowhide from the tannery.  First we straighten the hide so we can cut each leather dog leash with a hand strap cutter.  The hides arrive to us in an undyed state so we have to finish them with dye, leather conditioners, edge coatings and polishes and water repellent.

All our custom dog leashes are bevelled along the edge by hand to give a nice round finish look to the edge.  In the handle area, we bevel all four edges as round edges are much more comfortable to hold than square cornered edges.

Our most popular length of leather dog leashes is the six foot dog leash since most trainers tend to recommend this length.  However we have many other styles as well.  If you tend to walk your dog in very crowded areas, you might prefer our short leashes to keep your dog close to you.  We also have multifunctional dog leashes that adjust to different lengths.  Our securable dog leash allows you to easily secure one end of the leash to a pole or fence instead of tying a knot while you step inside a store for a minute.  If you like to walk two dogs at the same time, we make a coupler dog leash.  The couplers are removable so you can easily be set up the same leash to walk one or two dogs.

To make your leather dog leash unique, we can decorate it various manners.  Our personalized dog leashes can have your dog's name imprinted by leaving the lettering the natural undyed color, dying it the same color as the leather for a more subtle look or have us hand paint it a totally different color for contrast.  Metal decorations adorn our diamond dog leash and shot gun shell dog leash.  These studded dog leashes are available in different lengths and colors.

Each personalized dog leash as well as all out other leashes have solid brass swivel snaps or chrome plated swivel snaps for a secure and attractive connection to your dog.   For strength the end that has the metal clip as well as the handle are stitched securely with harness thread and set with a rivet.
