Leathersmith Designs has been a promotional leather key tag manufacturer since 1975. We are pleased to be still working with many of the same automobile dealerships that have grown dramitically in size since our and their early beginnings.
Our most popular promotional leather key tag comes in a rectangular shape that is easy to hold in the hand. The rectangular shape allows for a better layout on the imprinted key tags. The most popular color still is the natural colored leather imprinted key tag because it is easiest to read. The red, blue, black and green imprinted key tags show up best on the natural leather color since there is a nice contrast between the dark letters and the light leather color background. Although we do imprint gold and silver on the natural leather, they are light colored letters on a light colored leather and therefore don't have much contrast. The gold and silver imprints show up better on our dyed promotional leather key tags.
We can do a free layout for you to approve before confirming the order. If you want your corporate logo to be imprinted on the key fob, we will need you to email a quality copy of your corporate logo in eps, jpg. or bmp. Vector graphics are the best to work with. Scans must be at 600 dpi black and white line art 1 bit. If you have printed line art, you can snail mail it for us to scan.
Once you confirm your key fob order, we send the layout to a metal manufacturer to have a solid metal imprinting plate engraved. We can use this metal imprinting plate over and over again for years to come. It normally takes about one week to get the plate made and one week for us to make the key tags. Of course once the plate is made, we will always be ready to start your next order right away.
The imprinted key tags are made from top grain tooling leather which is about 1/8 inch thick. The metal rings and rivets are available in a brass plated or nickel plated finish.
