Time To Make & Ship
Our leather craft supplies (hides, buckles, snaps, rivets, tools, dyes, etc.) are normally shipped on the next business day since they are stock items. However, since we are a custom leather shop, our leather products (belts, guitar straps, dog collars, wallets, coin purses etc.) must be made before they are shipped. The time to make different leather shown below is the normal time to make before they are shipped. You must add the appropriate number of days to the shipping time to allow us to make your leather product or to package your leather craft items. However, if we receive an excessive number of orders or during busy times or during holidays, leather products could take longer to have made. Therefore, if you have a deadline such as Christmas, a birthday, or a vacation date, give us a call, send an email, or write it in the order instructions/comments during the checkout process to let us know of your deadline.
Add approximately 1 - 2 days to the delivery time displayed to prepare: leather craft supplies, hides, buckles, snaps, rivets, tools, dye, etc.
Add approximately 3 days to the delivery time displayed to make: folding coin purses and spring frame coin purses.
Add approximately 10 days to the delivery time displayed to make: guitar straps, belts, dog collars, leashes, wallets, other coin purses, belt pouches, and wristbands.
Add approximately 20 days to the delivery time displayed to make: cellular cases, knife cases, and iPhone cases.
Shipping Methods
All our leather products and leather craft supplies are shipped through couriers such as UPS, Purolator, FedEx, and Canpar. A physical street address must be provided to ship by these couriers. These couriers will not ship to PO Boxes. In Canada, we also can ship by Canada Post which is helpful if you only have a PO Box. During the order process, the shipping cost choices are calculated based on the weight of the products ordered and your shipping address. The shipping costs and shipping methods are then displayed for you to select before you pay for your order.
Free Shipping is available to Canadian provinces for orders over $199. Unfortunately, due to the excessive cost of shipping to the territories, we cannot offer free shipping to NT, NU, and YT. Also, promotional products are excluded from this free shipping. Promotional products are large quantity orders that have company names imprinted on the leather goods.
Our leather products shipped to USA are tariff free since our leather products are made by us in Canada and fall under the USMCA free trade agreement. However, the leather craft supplies shipped to USA are subject to tariffs, and these tariffs are included in the shipping cost shown at checkout.
Currency
All prices on our website default to Canadian currency. If you are ordering from a country other than Canada, click the currency converter button on the page for the country you want listed. This will change prices throughout the website to this currency until you choose another currency. This is an estimated conversion price for that currency chosen.
If your country's IP address is recognized, it might convert prices on our website to your country's currency automatically. As previously mentioned, this is an estimated conversion price based on daily exchange rates.
Your credit card will be charged in Canadian currency. Exchange rates vary slightly throughout the day and between financial institutions. Your credit card company will convert the Canadian currency price to your own currency on your credit card bill. Some banks and credit card companies may also charge a small currency conversion fee or transaction fee.
Sizing
Please measure with a tape measure as shown on our web site so your new product will fit correctly re Dog Collar Neck Size, Belt Waist Size, Wristband Wrist Size. Our leather products are all custom made for your order to the measurements specified by yourself. See How to Measure Correctly .
Leather
Please note that leather is a natural material as opposed to a manmade material. Therefore, some small blemishes are natural such as scratches, wrinkles, insect bites, and natural healed scars. These small blemishes do not affect the durability of the hide. We preserve the natural hide markings on our products which show the authenticity of the leather. One of the beauties of leather is that no two hides are alike. Because each hide has different markings, each hide takes the dye coloring slightly differently on the leather product made.
Color
The color of the actual product may vary slightly to what is shown on our website for a number of reasons. Due to the wide range of monitors, monitor color settings, brightness settings, etc., the products will display slightly differently on a variety of monitors. Also, leather is a natural product, so each piece of leather absorbs dye slightly differently. Some hides may require us to apply more dye or natural oils to make the finished leather item have balanced coloring which results in a slightly darker shade.
Order Online, By Phone or At Shop
You can order anytime online. However, if you wish to contact us by phone for a question or to place your order by phone, you can reach us toll free in Canada and the United States at 1-800-845-1829 during our daytime business hours. For calls from overseas, we can be reached on our local number at 1-902-434-9721. We are normally open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Atlantic Standard Time. If you are in our area, you can also come to our leather shop and see our products and order in person.
Payment
We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal. All orders must be paid in full before they are made and shipped. If you visit our shop, you can also pay by cash but please do not mail cash. We do not take personal checks.
Custom Duties and Charges
United States - All the leather products made by us are custom duty free when shipped to the U.S. because of the USMCA Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the United States. However, the leather craft supplies are subject to tariffs, which are included in the shipping cost shown at checkout.
Canada - No custom duties or tariffs.
Other Countries - Custom duties, taxes and charges vary between countries. Check with your own country's customs office regarding these charges if you want to know the approximate amount before ordering. These are charges by the customer's country's government, not by us.
Also, the courier's customs broker will charge additional brokerage fees which you will be responsible for paying after you get your parcel. These brokerage fees are charged by the customs broker, not by us.
Returns & Exchange
Since we are a custom shop, products are made to your specifications. Custom-made items and imprinted items cannot be refunded or exchanged. For plain stock items and leather craft supplies that have not been used, we will refund the price of the item or exchange it once we receive it but cannot refund the original shipping cost. For an exchange of a leather craft supply or plain leather item, the customer must also pay the additional price to reship. Also, the expense of shipping to return the item is the responsibility of the customer.
For defective products, we accept returns and we will pay the shipping cost incurred by the customer when shipped back to us by the cheapest means through the post office. Before a defective good is returned, the customer must email us a photo of the defect and an explanation and we will email the customer an authorization and instructions on how to proceed with the return. Keep in mind that all our products are thoroughly checked before shipping them to our customers so the chance of receiving a product with a defect is highly unlikely.
We only accept returned items that are shipped through the post office as couriers will charge us a brokerage fee when we receive it if shipped from outside Canada. If it is returned from outside Canada through any other way but though the post office, we will not accept it because of extra charges that will be billed to us. When you go to the post office, just ship it by the cheapest slowest way and mark on the custom's sticker "Returning to seller as not acceptable" if you are outside Canada. Let us know when you ship it so we can be expecting it.
