Glover's needles have a sharp triangular point that easily pierce leather without tearing the material. Most often used on lighter leathers such as glove leather, garment leather, suede etc. where holes don't have to be punched first in the leather before you sew. They are also used in many other leather working applications such as repairing belts and shoes. The smaller the metal guage, the thicker the metal is on the glover's needle.
