Our leather braided dog collars have to have all the holes carefully punched by hand to line up perfectly. Genuine leather lace is then braided down the center of the leather collar. This is a very time consuming task as it is completely done by hand though one hole at a time for a nice even weave. Many yards of leather lace is required to hand manouever the weave down the center of the braided dog collars. Because it is so time consuming for each additional inch that the collar becomes longer and because the strong leather lace used is very expensive, the price on the collar will adjust instantly as you pick larger neck sizes when adding the braided leather dog collars to the shopping cart.
These laced dog collar can also have a decorative concho centered for effect. Besides the standard black and brown lace, you also have the choice of some attractive bright colors such as red, turquoise, pink and white which make a great contrast against a darker leather background.
The underneath side of the leather collar is lined with a soft garment leather which is glued and sewn to the collar. This provides comfort to your dog by covering lacing on the underneath side so the lace will not be rubbing against your dog's neck. It also protects the lace on the underneath side from being chafed.
