Black YKK auto-lock slide for #3 YKK nylon coil zipper. A locking zipper slider has a small pin lock mechanism in it that keeps the slider in place unless the slider's tab is pulled which releases the lock pin. The pin lock nestles between the teeth or coil on the zipper chain to prevent it from sliding. This prevents the slider from moving on its own if the tape is forced apart or if the slider is pushed. Locking sliders are normally used on applications where you do not want the slider to move unintentionally due to crosswise tension on zipper chain such as on trousers and jackets. This slide is great for leather pockets such as on money belts as the slide is low profile. These black #3 sliders are meant to be used with our YKK #3 Nylon Coil Continuous Zipper.
