The nylon continuous coil zipper are made by the quality YKK zipper manufacturer.  This type of zipper would not be used for jackets as it has to remain closed at both ends. The continuous coil zipper is used in purse pockets, messenger bag pockets and briefcase pockets.  We have two types of slides for this zipper.  The locking slice zipper is used in situations where the zipper tongue must be lifted and pulled to release the slide from the zipper.  The non-locking slides tend to be the most popular for use on pockets.  You can even use two non-locking zipper slides pointing in different directions on the same zipper.  This would allow you to pull either slide in the opposite direction on the same zipper to open it.
