These line 20 snaps for leatherworking are available in brass plated or nickel plated finishes. When buying snaps, the thickness of leather must be considered. These small snaps work great with 3 - 6 oz thick leather. An oz is about 1/64 inch thick. This is a package of 10 complete snap sets.
To set the line 20 snaps for leatherwork, you need to first punch a hole in the leather for the snap cap and another hole for the snap post (eyelet). Insert the cap into the hole, place the socket over the snap cap post to be set. Under the snap cap, you will need to place a concave anvil so the cap keeps the nice curve when you set it. To do this, you need a setter to hit with a mallet that will crimp the metal snap post around the inside of the socket. Insert other part which is the post (eyelet) into the hole, place it on the flat anvil, place the stud over the post and use the setter to crimp the metal snap post (eyelet) inside the stud. The snap setter required for this size line 20 small jacket snap will not work with the larger size line 24 snaps. However the concave anvil will work with both this line 20 small size snap and the larger line 24 snaps.

Following is a video showing how to set jacket snaps with long posts in thicker leather. The procedure is the same for learning to set snaps in leather with line 20 and regular post length line 24. Just make sure you have the appropriate setter for the line of jacket snap used. Also the mini anvil makes a great work surface instead of using a large homemade anvil shown in the video.

Worked as advertised
Purchased these to relocate a snap on a Leatherman utility pouch. Couldn't find them anywhere due to their smaller size.
