Spiked Dog Collars & Studded Dog Collars
For large strong dogs such as American Staffordshire Terriers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Pit Bulls, and Mastiffs, we recommend using our wide rugged dog collars or spiked tough leather dog collar. These tough dog collars are crafted from two layers of leather of our regular dog collar leather, making it a combined thickness of 1/4 inch. They are sewn together on our harness stitcher with very strong harness thread.
Our spiked dog collars are available with short or long spikes. The spikes are riveted permanently in place with a heavy duty ribbed rivet. These are not the screw on spikes which can loosen over time that are used by some other collar producers.
The studded leather dog collars are decorated with diamond shape studs, jeweled studs and round studs in gold and silver finishes. Since our leather work is all custom made to order, the studded big dog collars and others can be made to fit any large dog neck size. Sometimes customers come to us with large breed dogs that just can't get collars big enough at pet stores to fit their dog's gigantic neck. However with us no neck size is too big for us to make a properly fitted collar.
The wide studded dog collars are great for people's dogs that want to distribute any pulling pressure over a wider area of the neck for comfort when walking their dog. The other reason people like these wider collars is for the amount of studs that can decorate it.
As with all our custom leather products, we take pride in making our leather dog collars and therefore only use solid brass buckles and chrome plated solid brass buckles. We want the buckles to be strong and attractive. They are riveted in place with double cap rivets for strength.
